PLEASANTON, Calif. - September 14, 2017 - ManageEngine, the real-time IT management company, today announced that it has added new Group Policy Object (GPO) management capabilities to its Active Directory management and reporting solution, ADManager Plus. Organizational policies have to be constantly updated to respond to external changes such as security threats, compliance regulations, mergers and acquisitions, and so on. It is therefore imperative to have great flexibility in Group Policy management to deal with these updates. Managing GPOs with the help of the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) is a tedious task owing to the lack of bulk GPO management capabilities. For example, administrators using the GPMC usually create GPOs, link them individually to hundreds of organizational units (OUs) and then remove the link to each OU when requirements change. However, ADManager Plus helps admins manage GPOs in bulk from a simple console.

"Today's business environment is fraught with too many uncertainties. Administrators could easily get lost in a maze of constantly changing organizational requirements while creating group policies," said Manikandan Thangaraj, director of product management at ManageEngine. "Our latest feature is aimed at helping admins easily navigate through these challenges and set group policies effectively and efficiently."

Easy Bulk GPO Management

With ADManager Plus, administrators can easily view available GPOs and manage GPOs and GPO links. In addition to existing GPO management capabilities, the new version of ADManager Plus enables administrators to:

  • Create GPOs and link them to multiple OUs, sites or a domain.
  • Edit the administrative template settings of both user and computer configurations of GPOs.
  • Delete multiple GPOs at once.
